Because of this, marketing is an integral job for most companies. At Aquinas College, we have distinguished faculty that bring a minimum of 10 years of corporate experience into the classroom. Hands-on experience is imbedded in the coursework to prepare our students for the real world.

The mission of the Business Department at Aquinas College is to prepare each student for a career of service to organizations, community, and family through the development of content knowledge and skill competencies within an ethical framework and grounded in the liberal arts tradition.

Students will learn to:

Integrate functional business knowledge by evaluating various business conditions and identifying their relevant economic associations that benefit society in a local, national, and global environment.
Identify key qualitative and quantitative variables affecting organizational decision-making by utilizing relevant information to solve complex problems and pursue opportunities.
Effectively apply business law, economics, finance, management and marketing principles to develop strategic planning and competitive advantages for organizations.
Identify, evaluate and implement strategic decision-making that supports organizational goals with an emphasis on the allocation of human and financial resources within an organization.
Integrate a principled perspective to various business scenarios, by incorporating a core-value approach that is grounded in personal integrity, and prioritizes ethical decision-making.

Leadership Development Program

The Leadership Development Program runs every other week in the fall semester. Students at Aquinas get to meet with executives and other business leaders in the Grand Rapids Community at their places of business.
